    Is an individual, deserving of our respect, and is to be treated with dignity and equality within all our relationships.

    Has rights that they are entitled to as full citizens of their community. With these rights, comes responsibilities as an individual and community member that need to be also fulfilled and honoured.
  • Choices and Opportunities
    Is capable of making their own choices about their lives, their preferences and priorities. These choices come from a range of opportunities that all members of a community have as citizens.
  • Citizenship
    Is a valued member of their community, capable of participating in, contributing to and providing leadership in the ongoing development and well being of their community.
  • Advocacy
    Will benefit from advocacy initiatives that support the development of each person’s potential and their full inclusion as active and valued community members.
  • Partnerships and Collaboration
    Will benefit from the active use of collaboration and partnership approaches that engage all of a community’s members, their families, service providers and others.
